Wash and Clay Bar Treatment
It all starts with a quality hand wash using a "two bucket" process and hand dry. Once the surface dirt is gone, embedded contaminants are removed from the paint.  This is done using a synthetic clay bar designed to pull dirt out of the paint.  Ask one of our technicians to demonstrate the effectiveness of this technique when you drop off your car.

Removal of Metallic Contaminants
Additionally, modern brake compounds contain metal.  Dust emitted from the brakes when engaged contains hot metal particles that land on the paint and "melt" into the clear coat.  If you have a lighter colored car, look for small orange dots on your paint.  These are metal particles that have melted into the clear coat and have begun to oxidize (rust).  After removing embedded dirt with the clay, our technicians focus on safely removing the embedded metal particles using a process that dissolves them leaving your paint completely free from any contaminants.

Paint Correction Process
Once the paint is completely cleaned, some customers request that scratches and scuffs be removed.  This is accomplished through the use of various grades of compounds  leaving the paint free from swirl marks and scratches that take away from the shine.

Polishing
Now it is time to take that shine to the next level. After all the dirt, stains, minor scratches and scuffs are removed, the vehicle is polished to a mirror-like finish.   After this step, the depth of shine on the paint makes it look like the paint is wet.

Protection
At this point, the paint correction  and polishing is complete, but it needs to be protected.  Concours Auto Spa has many different types of sealants, waxes, and coatings that can be used individually or in combination in order to lock in that shine for months to come.

The "Details"
This might sound like the end, and most customers are already satisfied with their vehicle’s appearance at this point.  Next, the technicians at Concours Auto Spa thurn their attention to the details – after all, this is Auto Detailing.  The trim pieces, tires, wheel wells, door jambs, trunk, and engine compartment are cleaned and protected.  At this point, the exterior of the car appears as it did when it left the showroom.
